Flesh of my flesh. 

I want to breathe you in

With my very breath. 

Draw you close to me

Near to my heart. 

Cling to you tightly, 

Never to depart. 

I lay my body down

To rest.  To sleep.

But my body yearns for you. 

The ache is so deep. 

With my inner voice, 

I beg to you.  I plead. 

Let me feel you close, my love. 

Your presence is what I need. 

I close my eyes and envision you. 

Brown curls, soft skin. 

Chubby cheeks, a round smile. 

I try to contain it from within. 

I ask you to comfort me. 

To pray for me, my dear. 

To let me somehow know you. 

To comfort me through my tears. 

Some days I find you in the longing. 

Others you seem so distant.

All moments are you missing. 

Losing you changed my life in an instant.

I want to grasp you and hold you. 

I want to look into your eyes. 

I want you physically to be here. 

It hurts so much.  I feel like I might die. 

Come to me, my love. 

Find me in my sorrow. 

I want to press you against my cheek once more.

I want to know we have tomorrow.
